Patch Dragon Age Origins 1.04

89

Hi all, my name is NSA:o, and like surely many of you here, I also own the Steam version of DA:O Ultimate edition. Now my question is simple and stands in the title there. So was just wondering if Steam updates this game appropriately, being not a native and Steam-reliant title, or would I have to do this manually and gewt me hands dirty? I'm sure someone knows this for sure, also where can I possibly check this to verify that I'm patched-up and good to go!Latest/Last version being 1.05 I believe, as the auto launcher newsboard still states.Thx in advance for pointing me. Patch notes and ReadMe are in your game folder. However, the question is a good one and requires an answer. The game version in Steam is 1.04. We are not missing out on anything, because 1.05 fixes the following things:- Downloadable content authentication.

Steam manages it's own files, so this is not needed in here.- EADM CD-Key fixes. Again: No required in Steam. Patch would not make any positive changes. It might instead require to be unpatched, because Steam manages keys it uses.- Old card support. 1.05 fixed some lag related problems for peoples still using cards for DirectX 10.

DirectX 11 came out 5 years ago, so this is likely not a major issue for gamers. Is OK, I think it's safe though, as the latest (and installation date correctest) date states it's a 1.04, so it should be there and good! I do have 3 readmes.I'll playtest it.

If I face any problems and should need some upgrade/downgrade I'll just repatch it manually and be good (Like in the good ol' days of yore lol). I do wish they would've just put the version build note somewhere in the main menu/options corner:'(.But you're right, it is pretty strange. And anyone who know why or have explanation feel free to post or expand this subject on yet more odd patch questions that might need clarifying, topic's got a fitting enough name for it I think.Thnx much for your info & help anyway. Originally posted by:You know what? You are correct.Patching information was removed from the original location in Steam, or patching notes never existed there. At least my client just moves me to product release page, when I am trying to get to release notes. Every file I found told me that the Steam version was 1.04.

That included my own game.I had to validate my files, before v1.5 came up. That is very strange.

My game was last reinstalled.

Patch Dragon Age Origins 1.041.04

Dragon Age: Origins Patches -The PC version of patch 1.04 has been released and is available for download.Xbox 360 and PS3 patches are currently in certification and we will announce a release date once they have passed.Patch Details:You do not need to download patches prior to Patch 1.04. Downloading Patch 1.04 contains all previous patches. I'm pleased to report that the latest patch does seem to resolve some of the more annoying DLC verification issues. My legally purchased copies of Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep, and Return to Ostagar were coming up as 'unauthorized,' possibly because I installed the game on another PC. I was still under the three licensed installations, but these DLCs were still disabled.

Dragon Age Origins Patch 1.06

Patch 1.04 claims to fix authorization issues seems to have been at least partially successful. Blood Dragon Armor and Feastday Pranks are still listed as 'unauthorized,' but I care about that less than I care about those three.
