This is my first top installation. The top did not come with instructions, but there are YouTube videos out there. I ordered the top with pre-installed rain rail. The canvas must be stretched out because it is a tight and perfect fit. I thought the pre-installed rain rail would save time, but it became a bit of a headache. The hole punch for the studs were not completely aligned between the rail and top. Not a big deal because you can cut the excess material out.
However, the rain rail material is very thick and there are foam insulating pads for each hole. It is difficult to install the brackets and for the nuts to catch the studs because there is very little clearance due to the thickness of the rail and pads. Magkaisa by sarah geronimo lyrics. First, it works on the 1999 Mazda Miata top. I originally bought it either because I read somewhere that the tops only changed design in 2005? Or so, or because it was recommended by the Amazon car suggestion thing. I don't recall. I contacted the seller immediately after receiving it to double check and they told me (still have the Email) that it would NOT work on any model past 1997. This is untrue. If there's a way to add a picture to my post later I will.
Currently I do not have a way to.I have had this for months and it has caused zero issue. I do recommend you buy the protect spray and cleaner as I have experienced slight fade out in the sun nonstop since getting it. I only recently got a garage and cover for it. The water still beads from the initial factory coating.Not. Recently purchased this top for my 1999 NB Miata thought that it was not gonna fit when I initially opened the box because the paper that was in the box said that the top was for a Ford mustang was about to return it and then when I first fit the top it was perfect. After I did finish installing the top I did notice that the stitching around the rear window seemed to have micro punctures so since I got it because it was raining in California at the time those little seems would leak very little I though it was because I let the vinyl stretch for a bit in the sun so that it would not be too hard to relatch for the first time. Other then those micro punctures and the wrong warranty paper for the wrong top this is a great product loved how it.
Just got done installing yesterday, looks great and I'm very happy with the result. The cloth is nice and soft, and in my honest opinion, looks much better than vinyl. It's a bit tight right now, but that's to be expected. Probably not nearly as bad as a new vinyl top would be in this cold weather. Installation wasn't too difficult, there are guides out there and it seems like it's easier than older generations.One thing I wasn't happy about, but didn't detract from the product really, was that there were a lot of holes stamped out of plastic trim but not stamped out of the fabric right behind it.
Having to make those holes myself just added a bit of extra assembly time. Also, the holes in the plastic where it screws in to the very front of the frame didn't perfectly line up, and it was difficult to.
The window is a clear, heavy 40 gauge press polish plastic for superior visibility. The top deck is made with a deck seam down both sides and has quarter panels that overlap the window section. After calling other shops, I finally found one willing to put it on. The top looks great and fits great, just a hassle to get it installed.

The only problem for me is the edge of the window below the corner catches just a little bit on the passenger side of the top but massaging and working the vinyl seems to help reduce the amount of snag.
